Dr. Gabriella Hamilton was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Commonly referred to by her family and friends as “Snow White” it was rare to not see Dr. Hamilton without an animal. She went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin River Falls with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She received her DVM degree from Iowa State University.
Wanting to experience the “west coast lifestyle” and expand her knowledge on exotic animal medicine she moved to Orange County and began working for Companion Pet Partners. While she enjoys all aspects of small animal and exotic pet medicine, she has a special interest in avian and reptile medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, wildlife medicine, shelter medicine and client education. She is a certified “Fear free” veterinarian, completed the RECOVER initiative CPR course (basic and advanced), Purdue Wildlife Veterinary Medicine and Conservation Certified, and an accredited USDA Category 2 veterinarian. She is currently working on her acupuncture certification through Chi University and will be certified in March 2023. In the future, she hopes to specialize in Avian or exotic medicine and perform advanced surgical techniques such as fracture repair, TPLO, and soft tissue surgery. In her free time, she likes to keep active with hiking, skiing, visiting new coffee shops, or spending time with her animals Faline (greyhound), Piper (tortoiseshell cat), Lola (dutch rabbit), Honey (hedgehog), and Tequila (African grey parrot).
